In December, six happy winning teams were awarded the AAU Startup Grant. The day, which marked the celebration of their achievements, was characterised by inspiration, innovation and a strong entrepreneurial spirit. The event also highlighted how students from Aalborg University turn ideas into viable startups.
Each of the six winning teams received DKK 250,000 to support the further development of their startups. The funding enables the students to work strategically with product development, testing, market validation and business models—bringing solutions with potential impact on society, industry and sustainability closer to realisation.
During the event, each team took the stage for a conversation with Director of Innovation Mads Bang, sharing their journey, challenges and ambitions. The discussions offered insight into the many pathways from student project to startup and illustrated how ideas evolve through collaboration, academic expertise and persistence.
The grant supports this process by helping students at Aalborg University translate knowledge and ideas into solutions that create value beyond the university.
